Community Groups & Events
At Nichols Kaster & Anderson, we believe we have a responsibility to positively influence our community. Some of the community groups and events that we support include:
- Workplace Fairness
- a non-profit organization dedicated to educating workers about their rights and promoting public policies that advance employee rights.
- Sexual Violence Center
- a non-profit organization that provides counseling, support, and legal services to victims of sexual violence in the Twin Cities area.
- Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services (SMRLS)
- a legal-aid organization that provides pro bono assistance to low-income persons.
- District del Sol, Cinco de Mayo fiesta (West St. Paul)
- an annual celebration that welcomes over 100,000 attendees.
- La Familia, Latino Family Festival & Expo (St. Paul River Centre)
- an annual event honoring Latinos, their culture and their contributions to the area.

National Employment Law Association (NELA)
NELA is dedicated to advancing employee rights and assisting the attorneys who represent them. Nichols Kaster & Anderson contributes to NELA in several ways. All of our attorneys are NELA members, and they regularly speak at NELA seminars and conventions. Some of our attorneys hold positions on the board of NELA’s Minnesota affiliate. Additionally, Nichols Kaster & Anderson was a Benefactor of NELA’s 2006 fundraiser for its Washington, DC office. As our track record demonstrates, we will continue to work with NELA to advocate for workplace fairness on behalf of all employees.
Employment Law Institute (ELI)
ELI is a non-profit organization that provides education and other resources to attorneys, human resource managers, and other professionals who work in the area of labor and employment law. Nichols Kaster & Anderson supports ELI’s mission. We are plaintiffs’ lawyers sponsors of ELI, and our attorneys frequently give presentations at ELI events.
