David brings a prosecutor’s vision to the pursuit of protecting consumer rights. As a member of Nichols Kaster’s Consumer Class Action Team, David works on all phases of litigation on behalf of consumers who have been subjected to unfair, deceptive, and unlawful trade practices.
Prior to joining Nichols Kaster in 2013, David was a law clerk in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Minnesota, assisting in federal criminal prosecutions and civil proceedings where the United States was a party to the litigation. He helped prosecute adult felonies as a trial law clerk for the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office and served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Michelle A. Larkin of the Minnesota Court of Appeals. David also served the citizens of Minnesota as a law clerk working on consumer-fraud complaints in the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General. David developed his reputation as a skilled legal writer and oral advocate by being a Regional Finalist as the 2012 ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition and Quarterfinalist at the 2011 Evan A. Evans National Constitutional Law Competition. At The University of St. Thomas School of Law, David co-founded a chapter of the American Constitution Society and was elected the Student Government Judicial Chair.
