Lucas Kaster is a skilled litigator focused on aggressive advocacy, creative solutions, and responsiveness to clients. Lucas believes that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. It is this foundational belief that drives Lucas to represent employees who have been mistreated. As a member of the Nichols Kaster’s individual rights team, Lucas works daily to stand up to big and small employers who prioritize the bottom line over the well-being of their employees.
Prior to joining Nichols Kaster, Lucas was the founding attorney of Kaster Law in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where as a criminal defense attorney, he tried several cases to verdict and fought to defend the rights of those charged with both misdemeanor and felony crimes. During his time in Milwaukee, Lucas also was an attorney mentor for the Wisconsin State Bar Association’s high school mock trial competition and a board member for the Milwaukee Tennis Classic.
At Marquette University Law School, Lucas focused his coursework on litigation and continued his love of community service by participating in the Marquette Street Law program and chairing the annual Public Interest Law Society Auction twice. Lucas also co-founded two organizations at Marquette – Raise the Bar, which trained law students to teach basic law principles in various youth programs and juvenile centers, and the Professional Development Association, which focused on connecting law students to influential business leaders.
Prior to attending law school, Lucas worked as a media planner in Irvine, CA and spent a year volunteering with children in Lima and Cusco, Peru.
