Non-Consensual Pelvic Exams

FOR MORE INFORMATION CALL 612-256-3240 OR EMAIL OUR CLERK AT INTAKE@NKA.COM

Every pelvic or vaginal exam that is performed on a patient should only be done after receiving consent. Unfortunately, this does not always happen. For example, media has reported on medical students performing vaginal exams on anaesthetized patients without the patient’s consent. This non-consensual and intrusive examination may not only be happening to patients in the OBGYN unit but also to patients in unrelated areas of the hospital.

If you or someone you know has been subjected to a non-consensual pelvic exam, contact our Civil Rights and Impact Litigation group. Our clerk is available at 612-256-3240 or intake@nka.com, and will be able to discuss your civil rights concerns and connect you with one of our civil rights attorneys.
