On March 11, 2015, we attended mediation with Defendants in an effort to settle this lawsuit. However, mediation was unsuccessful.  This means we will be proceeding with litigation.  As such, we are now entering the “discovery” phase of the case.  The discovery phase, which typically lasts several months, is the stage of the case in which the parties attempt to collect the evidence they need from the other side to prove their case.  During discovery, both parties gather evidence by exchanging documents, answering written inquiries, and taking depositions.  If you are a client, we may reach out to you in the coming weeks for your assistance with this phase of the case.
