Melanie A. Johnson is a member of Nichols Kaster’s Civil Rights and Impact litigation team where she fights discrimination and advocates for employees, students, and other individuals in complex class and collective actions.
Prior to joining the firm, Melanie clerked for Judge Matthew E. Johnson at the Minnesota Court of Appeals. During law school, she served as a managing editor of the Minnesota Law Review, in which she published a student note about the use of perjured testimony. She also served as a student director of the Child Advocacy and Juvenile Justice Clinic and as a board member of the student chapter of the Minnesota Justice Foundation. Melanie has a professional background in journalism.
