Branch Banking & Trust Co. Update

On December 1, 2015, we filed a motion to conditionally certify this case as a collective action. The purpose of this motion is to request that the Court allow us to bring federal claims for unpaid overtime and minimum wage compensation on behalf of all LDP Trainees and LDP Graduates employed by BB&T within the last three years.  If this motion is granted, BB&T will provide us with a list of names and contact information for all eligible employees so we can distribute judicial notice of this lawsuit.  The judicial notice will provide the employees with information about the lawsuit and explain how to join it.

We hope to finish briefing and receive an order regarding conditional certification soon.  However, LDP Trainees and Graduates who wish to join the case may still do so while this motion is being considered by the Court.  If you worked for BB&T within the last three years, participated in the Leadership Development Program, and wish to join this case, please sign and return a Plaintiff Consent Form.  If you have any questions, please contact our case clerk, Erik Nielsen at enielsen@nka.com or by phone at (877) 344-4628 .
