Nichols Kaster Investigating Hertz for Federal Law Violations Related to Current Employees, Former Employees and Applicants

Consumer attorneys at Nichols Kaster, PLLP, are investigating Hertz on behalf of current and former employees and online job applicants, for potential violations of The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).  The investigation centers around the documents Hertz would provide to applicants prior to running a pre-employment background check on them.  The FCRA requires that before an employer runs a background check, the employee or applicant must receive a “clear and conspicuous” disclosure in a document that “consists solely of the disclosure.”

Under the applicable law, statutory compensation is available to those whose rights have been violated.   If you are a current, former, or previously a prospective employee of Hertz and want to know more about the investigation contact us. Nichols Kaster is a law firm dedicated to protecting the rights of employees and consumers, that has handled several cases related to employment background checks.
