SACRAMENTO, CA--(Marketwire - October 19, 2010) - On October 18, 2010, Nichols Kaster, LLP filed a putative nationwide collective and class action lawsuit on behalf of loan officers that worked for Prospect Mortgage, LLC. The lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. In their complaint, the employees assert that Prospect Mortgage violated the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and California labor laws by misclassifying its loan officers as exempt from overtime pay and minimum wages.
