David Schlesinger and Michelle Kornblit Published in The FMLA Handbook, Second Edition

Nichols Kaster partner David Schlesinger and associate Michelle Kornblit contributed a new chapter to the second edition of The FMLA Handbook published by Minnesota Continuing Legal Education.  The chapter, entitled “Joint Employer and Independent Contractor Issues,” explores the cutting edge and developing areas of law under the Family Medical Leave Act concerning joint employers and independent contractors. The chapter also includes a thorough explanation of recent Department of Labor guidance on these issues. The FMLA Handbook was circulated at the 2016 Upper Midwest Employment Law Institute held on May 23 and 24, 2016.
