Jury to Hear Case by Railroad Employee Claiming He Was Fired for Reporting Safety Concerns

On October 24th, the Minnesota federal court denied BNSF Railway’s motion for judgment and ordered that the claims by Don Sanders, a track inspector for the railroad, should proceed to a jury trial. Sanders contends that BNSF retaliated against him in violation of the Federal Railway Safety Act when the railroad fired him after he reported safety concerns.  Sanders is represented by Lucas Kaster and James Kaster of Nichols Kaster, PLLP.
