Elevance Health No Company Is Too Big to Play Fair

Our firm currently has cases filed against The Anthem Companies, Inc. and other subsidiaries of Anthem, Inc. in Tennessee, Georgia, Minnesota, New York, and Virginia on behalf of Medical Management Nurses, Utilization Management Nurses, Utilization Review Nurses, Nurse Reviewers, Nurse Reviewer Associates, and similar positions. The Named Plaintiffs in these cases seek overtime pay on behalf of themselves and all other similarly situated nurses who worked for Anthem, or for one of its subsidiaries, in those states.

The Complaints in these cases allege that Medical Management Nurses, Utilization Management Nurses, Utilization Review Nurses, Nurse Reviewers, Nurse Reviewer Associates, and similar positions were paid a salary and did not receive any overtime compensation for overtime hours worked as a result of Defendants’ unlawful practice of classifying them as exempt, salaried employees.

These cases were filed as collective actions under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), 29 U.S.C. § 216(b), and in certain states, include claims under state law. The Plaintiffs seek unpaid overtime compensation and double damages

We believe individuals working in the positions mentioned above in other states have been similarly misclassified as exempt employees and may be eligible to recover unpaid overtime wages.

If you work or have worked for Anthem or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates and would like more information about whether you may be eligible to make a claim for overtime pay, please contact Madeline Orozco at (612) 256-3297 or morozco@nka.com.
