Joshua R. O'Neill

As a member of Nichols Kaster’s Civil Rights and Impact Litigation practice group, Josh litigates complex class action cases involving discrimination, fraud, and other unfair business practices on behalf of workers, students, and consumers. Josh has represented workers in civil rights and employment cases, including forced labor of immigrant nurses, workers subject to employer-driven debt, and discriminatory recruitment and hiring practices. He has experience assisting workers in cases across the country that often involve multiple areas of law, including minimum wage violations, wage suppression and anti-competitive conduct, and labor trafficking. Josh has also litigated class actions on behalf of consumers subject to unfair business practices and disability-based discrimination. Josh is a member of the firm’s e-discovery committee and AI working group.

During law school, Josh interned at the ACLU of Minnesota, the Equal Justice Society, and the Federal Tort Claims Act Section of the United States Department of Justice. He also served as managing editor of the Minnesota Law Review.
