Alexa Johnson-Gomez

Alexa works across the firm’s practice groups to hold institutions accountable for violating individuals’ rights, particularly in class actions and multi-plaintiff litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Alexa worked in civil litigation at a Minneapolis law firm. She also was awarded the Robina Fellowship for the University of Minnesota Law School Class of 2024 and worked as a Fellow with Children of Incarcerated Caregivers, where she piloted new human rights advocacy initiatives on a global scale. During law school, Alexa served as the Lead Note & Comment Editor for the Minnesota Journal of Law, Science, and Technology, as well as the Student Clinic Director of the Innocence Project Clinic. While in law school, she worked with the Missouri Federal Defender’s Capital Habeas Unit, Cornell Law School’s Center on the Death Penalty Worldwide, the American Bar Association’s Death Penalty Representation Project, and The Advocates for Human Rights. Alexa also completed over 100 pro bono hours during law school. As an undergrad, she interned for Governor Gavin Newsom on the office’s internal clemency team and reviewed applications for pardons and commutations.
