No Company is Too Big to Play Fair.On June 4, 2024, the law firm of Nichols Kaster—together with the law firms of Sirianni Youtz Spoonemore Hamburger PLLC and Solidarity Law, PLLC—filed a lawsuit on behalf of a proposed nationwide class of Cigna Health enrollees diagnosed with obesity. The lawsuit alleges that Cigna’s exclusion of coverage for prescription medications to treat obesity violates the Affordable Care Act’s anti-discrimination law.
