Discrimination (Non-Employment)
Discrimination takes many forms and can happen in a wide variety of places. You may face discrimination in employment, housing, school, or in financial transactions, such as when you try to get a loan or buy a car. -
Discrimination (Employment)
Employers generally cannot discriminate against you because of your age, disability, gender, military status, national origin, race, and in some states, sexual orientation, or religion. Employees may also have protections against sexual harassment and pregnancy discrimination, as they are forms of gender discrimination. -
Fair Housing and Tenants' Rights
People who are trying to rent or buy a place to live have rights. The Fair Housing Act makes it illegal to discriminate based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, and family status when it comes to the sale, financing, or rental of housing. -
