On June 2, 2025, the law firm of Nichols Kaster – together with the law firms of Sirianni Youtz Spoonemore Hamburger PLLC and Davis Law LLC – filed a lawsuit on behalf of a proposed class of people who have Cigna health insurance and require prescription microprocessor-controlled prostheses. The lawsuit alleges that Cigna violates the Affordable Care Act’s prohibition against disability discrimination by not covering microprocessor-controlled prostheses.
