Universities Expelling Students for Mental Health Crises
FOR MORE INFORMATION CALL 612-256-3253 OR EMAIL OUR CLERK AT INTAKE@NKA.COM
Some colleges and universities may have a policy of expulsion, suspension, or involuntary medical leave for students who experience mental health crises, such as a suicide attempt or a hospitalization. These policies may violate the Americans with Disabilities Act and other laws. If you or your child has experienced this type of discrimination, you may be able to pursue legal action. If you would like to speak with an attorney about your rights, please contact our Civil Rights and Impact Litigation practice group.
