SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - July 15, 2010) - On July 9, 2010, two former employees of Residential Capital, LLC and Ally Financial, Inc. filed suit in the Western District of Washington under the Fair Labor Standards Act and Washington state law for unpaid overtime wages. The case was filed on behalf of mortgage underwriters nationwide who worked for the Defendants in the last three years. The plaintiffs allege that they and other mortgage underwriters were improperly misclassified as exempt and denied overtime compensation.
