Melissa joined Nichols Kaster in 2025 as a Law Clerk. She graduated with a B.S. degree in Cognitive Science from the University of California at Santa Cruz. Currently, she is a J.D. candidate for the Class of 2026 at the University of Minnesota Law School.

Before joining the firm, she worked in clinical research for a medical device startup company in California, focusing on non-opioid treatment of chronic pain, and worked as a Student Attorney and Summer Director with the Gun Violence Prevention Law Clinic at the University of Minnesota Law School.
