Like the rest of us, employers are required by law to honor the agreements and contracts that they make.

There are various laws that protect employees from unfair treatment by their employers. But in addition to these laws, employers sometimes make promises to their employees, and those promises may constitute a contract. Employers are required to honor the contracts and promises they make.
